To counter this effect, place your vacuum starting at the edge of the rug, using a low setting and high elevation, or if possible, use hand held attachments when cleaning. As well, over time, the fibers within your piece will unavoidably begin to weaken. When this occurs, regularly, yarn will poke out from the edges of your rugs, and in order to prevent pulling, it is crucial that you do not simply pull the yarn out, but rather, cut these weak fibers using scissors to maintain the impeccable quality of your Surya rug. As well, if spills occur, it is crucial that you immediately tend to the area, blotting it with a towel to remove the moisture and to prevent any stain from setting.

I liked the rug, but only ordered the sample so I could see how it would look in person. The rug is MUCH darker than the way it appears online. That is exactly why I'm hesitant to buy something like this (an 8 x 11) online. I'm thankful that I had the option to order the sample, but doing this repeatedly could get expensive. If you don't purchase at least a 5 x 8 rug of the sample you received, it will cost $15 to send it back. leaving a credit to the consumer of $7 which kind of defeats the purpose of starting with a sample. Guess I'll keep looking in stores.
