Rizzy Brindleton BR351A Area Rug

We were nervous about buying an expensive rug online, but took a chance with Incredible Rugs. We ordered two Rizzy Brindleton BR351A rugs (9' 6" x 6' 6" and 12' x 15'). At the suggestion of their customer support rep, we held shipping for the large rug until we received the smaller rug so that we could avoid expensive freight shipping return costs for the larger rug if we didn't like the smaller rug.

We are very pleased with these area rugs. The color we chose matches what we viewed online. They are plush to walk on even without a pad. The fibers are medium soft; comfortable with bare feet, but firm enough for high traffic areas. There is some minor fiber shedding when vacuuming, but this should be expected with a 100% wool rug. The backing is soft cotton, but it is recommended that you use a rug pad if you have hardwood floors. We received free rug pads with the purchase that are supposed to be okay for hardwood floors, but they are made of latex so we ordered high quality felt pads from another site. The freight shipper damaged the larger rug, so make sure you inspect the outside carefully before accepting a large rug freight shipment. We worked with Incredible Rugs customer support to resolve the issue and they were excellent; easy to contact by phone and worked with us to make sure we were completely satisfied.

I was fully committed to getting a wool rug rather than polyester, but finding one with a neutral look in such a large size (12x15) that wouldn’t break the bank was challenging. When I came across this one, I was really pleased, and this site had the best price. I waited a long time to receive it due to COVID delays, but no problem. The gray color is neutral and not a “cold” gray. The simple pattern is not uni-directional, so either way it runs parallel with floor boards. The pattern is enough to add some character and dimension up close but blur from a distance. The pile is comfy but thin so it stays sleek. (Our house is modern, so this works for us. If you want super-plush, this might not be your thing.) It is soft underfoot. I don’t have pets, so I don’t know if the minimal natural scratchiness of the wool would bother them. I vacuumed it several times at first and sucked up tons of small wool fibers each time, but it does not actually shed around the house. Love it! [A note about the pad: The rug pad that came free with purchase is great for anti-slip, but it does not add actual padding, which was fine for us. Note, however, that it had an awful manufacturing smell when it first came out of the package. I washed it with a little detergent in the delicate cycle, and then dried it with no heat, and the smell was gone. I highly recommend that! The rug itself had no weird smells.]

Love this low/no pile modern rug in my entry. It’s Interesting mix of grey and white hues is perfect for our new decor. Very light toned, not dark. Vacuums easily and doesn’t slip on our new laminate floor. No pad necessary! Excellent buy and value!
