We needed a fairly neutral rug that would not compete with the red oriental rug in the adjacent dining room. But we wanted something that made a bit of a statement, too. I bought the rug sight unseen, and was pleasantly surprised when I received it. It had a bit more color variation than shown in the website phot (which was what I was hoping for). It is a quite long shag--which creates some beautiful variations in depth and color, too. And it is sooooo soft! I love walking on it barefoot. I would highly recommend this rug!
