L.R. (Castro Valley, CA) I was looking for a large area rug, but I ordered the Dalyn Hatay HY2 Teal 2-3 x 7-6 runner to see if I liked it. I love it. It's super soft and the colors and pattern work well in my home.
So I ordered the same rug in the largest size (10 x 14) for my living room. While I'm very happy with it, the pattern isn't what I expected.
The runner's pattern is small and delicate. The large rug pattern is magnified to fill the larger size, so it lost its delicate traditional pattern. For example, the runner's border is 6 in. wide, and the large rug border is 18 in. wide. The center design is also much larger.
You might expect the pattern to be a bit larger in a larger sized rug, but not to such a large degree.
I'm still really happy with it. I only mention the pattern size differences so others know what to expect.
