For vacuuming, use a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar or one where you can set the bar to the highest pile setting. If your vacuum has variable power settings, set on low. Vacuum full length of the rug, turn and repeat to the next area, rather than back and forth motion.

This rug is much lighter in person...the pic is not a good description...that's not saying the rug is ugly...it doesn't have a lot of color...but I'm keeping it...I hate returning things
Thanks for your feedback. The Revere rug is beautiful as it has a silky texture to the pile, so try spinning the rug around 180 degrees in the room and watch the colors change. Hope that helps! It's a great rug! Enjoy!

The rug is nice; however, I was surprised how much maroon and blue (not teal or gray) we’re in the rug. I was really disappointed because online it looked great. Since it really didn’t go well in my room I sent it back. The color is pictured more accurately in the review “Perfect Rug”.
The Revere, as with most 'silky' textured rugs, can have a dramatic color change depending on the direction the rug is positioned in the room. If the rug is rotated 180 degrees, it can lighten or darken in color.
