A series of connected and enlarged palmettes in the field and border of our Banbury rug are uniform in scale, recreating the simple majesty of Oushak tribal carpets in colors representative of highly-prized 19th century antiques. For hundreds of years, nomadic weavers have used the same large motifs, extra thick yarn and large Turkish-style knots we employ in Banbury, which adapt beautifully to 21st century homes and lifestyles because of their casual, informal appearance.

The Safavieh Oushak Rug collection consists of Wool Pile pile woven in a wonderful Hand Knotted weave. With a beautiful color/pattern combination, our only complaint is that Safavieh didn't make more of them.
